Are You a Survivor?
Are you a survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse? Do you want to help others who may be experiencing abuse too? Consider sharing your story.
Blue Hearts Project collects real-life stories from survivors to drive change. We aim to educate and raise awareness in a new, brave, and powerful way.
As a survivor, telling your personal story can be a powerful way to heal. At the same time, you get to help others by validating their experiences and helping them to feel less alone. We know that hearing stories similar to our own can be eye-opening and life-altering – especially for a person who may feel confused, trapped, or unsure. You can play a powerful role in helping victims to better understand their experiences, and hopefully leave the abuse.
How it Works
We’ve created a simple form with a few questions to help prompt you in telling your story. This format helps paint a clear picture for readers, and it makes organizing your story easy.
You have the option to remain entirely anonymous. We ask for your email only to keep you informed about our site and to thank you for sharing. Your email is 100% internal and kept private. We will NEVER release your information. Your privacy and safety is a top priority that we strictly adhere to.
If you do wish to include your name, as many do, we will only use your first name and an initial, e.g. Ashley L. You may also get creative and use a tagline instead of a name, e.g. Stronger than ever or Healing one day at a time.
Once received, our team will proofread your submission and group your answers together into one solid story. We will never change your story, your tone, or your word choices. We’ll only add transition words as needed: next, then, after that, etc. Due to high submission volume, it may take between 2-4 weeks for your story to post to our website, and we will then notify you by email.
